Love was a Mirage, shimmering and beckoning,
Like a distant dream, shiny and glittering

Many were the times, within reach, it seemed
Just a touch away, from fingertips, I deemed

A fierce gust of wind, would blow away the dream
My lonely shattering heart, in silence would scream

Hope, Trust and Betrayal were ever-changing seasons
Wariness and Doubt were hard-learned lessons

Many were the times I picked up the pieces
Resolute and Determined, I swept away the mess

Salvaging what I could, I tied up the rest,
Life was a challenge, at its very best

Then you came along, and broke down all the bonds
You made me fall in Love, in just a single glance

In a short span of time, you ruled over my heart
Of my very own soul, you became a part

Precious even more, than Platinum, Diamond or Gold,
The love that I give you, you return ten-fold


Every breath I take, with each passing day,
To the Heavenly Father, fervently I pray
